RIP Lou Rawls
OK, this may be a little late. Lou Rawls apparently died in January 2006.
This was supposed to be titled "RIP Bob Goulet". And the whole point was that I wasn't particularly moved by Goulet's death, but it did remind me of the commentary track to Anchorman, the funniest DVD commentary ever. But as it turns out, my memory was bad -- it was Lou Rawls who appears on the Anchorman commentary, not Bob Goulet. (Must have been confused by the fact that Ferrell used to do Robert Goulet impressions on SNL -- and in fact, many people thought his Anchorman character was just a Robert Goulet retread.)
Anyway...
The main commentary is performed by Will Ferrell and co-writer/director Adam McKay, but they have several guests come in at various times, one of whom is Robert Goulet Lou Rawls. As I recall, they ask him what he thinks of the movie as he's watching it for the first time with no sound, and they ask him to tell some stories. And then, somehow, Will Ferrell gets himself into a "scat-off" with Bob Goulet Lou Rawls. It is all hilarious, all the more so because it's completely unclear whether Bob Goulet Lou Rawls is in on the joke and playing along, or oblivious and thinking Will Ferrell is actually serious.
Definitely worth renting the DVD just to listen to that commentary. Bob Goulet Lou Rawls, you will (maybe? Well, obviously not, since I didn't even realize you'd died almost 2 years ago) be missed, but you left a legacy.

Done. Finished.
They are NOT ALIKE in any way.
It is like mixing up Sarah Vaughn with... Kristen Chenowith.
Sarah Vaughn does share one attribute with Robert Goulet, however. Both dead.
